DragonSpires is a multiplayer game that will combine the features of
Ultima-style games and the Internet MUDs. Using custom client
software for PC compatibles together with a custom server running on
the net, it has high quality art, music and sound effects, while
allowing players from all over the world to interact with each other
in real time.
The front end software is available at ftp.eden.com. There are also a
couple of .gif files there with sample screens & art. WWW users can
point their browsers to the DragonSpires Page.
Games Online
is an extensive listing of games that are available (either in
complete or demo form) on the net.
The
Nethack home pages have loads of great info on the greatest
net-text-graphic-hack'n'slash adventure game of all time.

Game Companies on the Web
The Galaxy home-page, for
players of Russell Wallace's play-by-email game Galaxy. It contains
an HTML version of the v3.5 rules, the current HTML version of the
Hall of Fame and Infamy, and a list of currently running games and
their GM's amongst other things.
Traveller Information Services has an extensive Chess section on their server.
WebChess (The Chess Server) is a multi-game, 2-player chess server.
It allows 2 people, from anywhere in the world, to play chess in
realtime via the Web. It currently allows a maximum of 5 concurrent
games. Any number of "surfers" can watch the games in progress. To
